We are sad to hear that Mike Hann, “Hanny”, has passed away.

Mike came to Aylesbury in the early 70s from Stroud as a prop having played for Gloucester before that.

He went straight into the 1st XV and soon after was selected for the County where he played for a number of years.  He was a larger than life character, literally and in many other ways.  Mike came to Aylesbury after joining Rycott Wood Agriculture College at Thame where he was a professor of the soil and latterly travelled the World identifying places where oil and other minerals may be found.  There will still be many older members who will remember Hanny with affection.
