- Early bird pricing ends on 1st October.
- If a player, don’t forget to reregister at the same time.
- Memberships are only available online.
- Parents do not automatically get a membership.

EXISTING AND NEW PLAYERS
STEP ONE – IF A PLAYER, OR YOUR CHILD IS A PLAYER, YOU MUST REGISTER/REREGISTER AT OUR CLUB
Every season, all players are required to be registered to play on the RFU system called GMS. Existing players should 'renew' their registration with their club. STEP TWO – EVERYONE – BUY THE RIGHT MEMBERSHIP
Memberships are purchased here https://www.aylesburyrfc.co.uk/products. This will take you to the RFU GMS system where you have to login using your email and password and complete your purchase.
New child players – can have a free two-week taster before membership becomes due (A hard copy medical form must be completed and handed to your coach/manager before you can join training – copies available in the Clubhouse). Membership is due after 2 weeks if your child would like to continue to train and play.

Coach/Manager/First Aider - For the 25/26 season, we have implemented a new Coach/Manager/First Aider Membership category available to Club Coaches who:
- Have a current DBS Qualification or have submitted the required DBS documentation to ARFC for processing at the time of the Coach membership application.
- Hold or are booked onto all of the following RFU Qualifications (these are all free and available online at the RFU website) - RFU Coursefinder:
- RFU eLearning - Headcase Concussion Awareness Training
- RFU eLearning - Introduction to Safeguarding
- RFU eLearning - Tacklesafe
- RFU In Person Training at ARFC (dates TBC) - Play it Safe
- Level 3 Certificate in First Aid (First Aiders only)
NB: Once you submit your 'coach membership' payment in GMS via the website, it will be held 'pending' whilst our team check whether you meet the required membership criteria - if you meet the requirements, the payment will be processed - this may take up to 5 days depending on the availability of our volunteers - if you have any problems please email: membership@aylesburyrfc.co.uk

- Social Membership (VP) Plus (social inc gym, no playing rugby) £185 (£165*) (New Social (VP) plus members must email membership@aylesburyrfc.co.uk for approval prior to purchase)

Existing child players – membership is due from 1 September. Any players without a membership and online registration on 1 October will be unable to continue to play/train.

QUERIES AND HARDSHIP CASES
Our club ethos is to provide rugby for all. We are a grassroots community club and wish to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy and participate in our sport. We must balance this with our need to receive fair membership payments to cover our costs, especially during a time when costs are rising. If you can afford to pay your full membership (please remember you can set up a direct debit) then this will help us to ensure we can continue to offer quality rugby and facilities.

CARDS
EXISITING MEMBERSHIP CARDS – Will automatically be re-activated 7-10 days from when you purchase your membership starting in August onwards (quicker if we can).
NEW MEMBER? Membership cards are automatically issued for new adult members and child players 16 plus only. Membership cards will be issued 7-10 days from purchase date and will be LEFT BEHIND THE BAR FOR YOU TO COLLECT.
WHY COLLECT YOUR CARD? You get a seriously good bar discount , you may need it to attend certain events, you will need it to access the gym if your membership includes it and you have completed an induction.
FAQs
Q - What is GMS?
A - this is the RFU’s player registration/affiliation system we are obliged to use. You can find out more about GMS here https://www.englandrugby.com/gms
Q - Why do I have to access GMS and update my own details?
A - The RFU have made the decision that everyone must update their own details due to data protection and to ensure they take ownership to ensure their details are correct so that they are able to train and play and receive communications
Q - Why do my details need to be included if only my child plays?
A - All minors under 18 must have an associated parent or guardian and you should input your mobile phone and email address as the contact details for your child. These details must be updated every year and the child player only should be ‘registered’ every year.
For GMS & Spond - please ensure you do not input a mobile phone number for anyone under 18 or an email address or a photo for anyone under 14.
Q - I don’t know my login / I need to reset my password
A - please refer to the https://help.rfu.com/. You can resent your password yourself here https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Account/Login. Please try to use these online guides to help you as we may not be able to help everyone immediately. If you email membership@aylesburyrfc.co.uk we can confirm your login username but not your password.
Q – My ‘child’ is in full time education but is over 18 at the start of season, what membership do I buy?
A – Please email membership@aylesburyrfc.co.uk with proof of student status which will also need tup be uploaded into GMS. You can buy 'Student Membership' for students between 19-25 in full time unpaid education. Please note - no reduced-price parent membership is included, the parent will need to purchase their own Social (VP) or Social (VP) Plus membership if you want to use the gym, bar discount, get international ticket allocations etc.
Q – I play rugby and my child plays – what membership do I buy?
A –Please purchase a full priced Regular Adult Player membership and a discounted additional playing child membership. A Parent, Social (VP) or Social (VP) Plus membership does not entitle you to train or play rugby.
Q – I am a Vet who plays occasionally, which membership should I buy?
A – Please purchase a regular adult player membership as this allows you to train, play matches and access the gym and physio.
Q – We have two children who play, all four of us want to access the gym and we are all over 16?
A – You buy 1 x 'parent membership', 1 x '1st playing child', 1 x 'additional child membership' and a 'Social (VP) Plus membership' for the second parent.
Q – Does a Social (VP) membership or Social (VP) Plus entitle me to play occasional rugby?
A – No, as this does not reflect the costs involved with playing rugby and we also have to be able to differentiate in GMS between players and non-playing adult members.
Q - Lost your card?
A - Email membership@arfc.co.uk to advise you need a replacement card. A new card will be left behind the bar for you 7-10 days from receipt of the email
