A revved up Aylesbury team welcomed Letchworth to Fortress Ostlers Field for what promised to be competitive match.
The A’s Women were on the front foot from the opening whistle, camped in the Letchworth half but the handling errors that have plagued them kept the score board at zero despite constant pressure on the line. It wasn’t long though before the rhythm was found and prop Darcy scythed her way through to score.
With the fire now lit, the women in magenta and black ramped up the pressure with fantastic back line combinations leading to a cheeky little back door offload from Eve to Emily which saw the 15 go in for her first. It wasn’t long before Eve and her Barbie socks were on the end of a well timed pass too, heading over to score under the sticks.
Letchworth responded with a fantastic period of play, seeing them drive the home team all the way back and with the penalty count rising, crashed over for their own score.
After the half time break injuries and the penalty count for both teams broke up the flow of play but not before Emily completed her hat trick and the back row duo of Lena and Leila added one each to the score board.
In the dying moments, Letchworth made brilliant use of their penalty in the Aylesbury half and scored a well deserved try on the final whistle bringing the final score to 39-10.
A solid team performance despite the errors from Aylesbury saw them secure the win and remain undefeated at home in the league so far, only conceding 15 points in 4 games!
Forward of the Match went to prop Tasha, returning from injury and announcing her presence back on the field with a bang!
Back of the Match was the very deserving hat trick Queen herself, full back Emily.
