These players continue to impress. Not just performance but also attitude.
We played with intent from the off and some solid forward work opended up space for the backs to use their pace to create a number of chances.
Verity opened up the scoring after some great team work saw her step back inside a defender to get the first try of the afternoon. A couple of breaks saw Harriet and Charlie open up the lead further. Charlie grabbed her second of the day with some great support running and Aaron shortly after showed some great running to add the fifth try of the first half. Charlie was on kicking duty and coverted all five trys. Didcot & Wallingford never stopped working and really came into the game as half-time approached and were rightly reawarded with a great try. The first half ended 35-5.
A number of changes in players and positions showed the great strength in depth we now possess. Esme B explemified this with some hard running off the bat which led to a try early in the second half. Charlie then used her impressive speed to break away to get her hat-trick. With Charlie converting both trys, we were now more than 42 points in the lead, so the match was called and the result confirmed. However, it was agreed to continue playing and Didcot & Wallingford were playing far better than the result suggests.
Charlie grabbed a fourth try and got ahard earned rest. Bella P showed great determination and strength to score a great try. Harriet finished it off with a breakaway try to grab her second try.
A massive well done to everyone involved. Absolute class throughout the squad. Everyone worked hard and played as a team.
