Statman Report – Yesterday was a good win for the boys – the final score was 41-17. We won both the first and the second halves, 24-7 and 17-10 respectively. We lost to Milton Keynes last year 12-29 so this was an important win and is evidence of good relative progress.
There were 7 try scorers with Ollie, Vinnie, Alfie and Digby all getting their first tries of the season – well done. Alex is currently leading the season try chase on 7. We now have 6 wins for the season and just the one loss to High Wycombe.
Whilst we mention High Wycombe, we face them in our next match, Bucks Cup Semin-final away on 2 Feb in 2 weeks’ time. They beat us 10-33 in October and 14-0 in March last year. There is a feeling with some that we can take them much closer and the score this year was not entirely representative. Whatever we think, the boys will have to prepare and play well if we are to beat them and progress to the cup final again.
