Statman Report – There were quite a few ‘final scores’ against Milton Keynes yesterday. Had we stopped once exceeding 50 points then the score was 5-54, the referee gave the final score as 5-61 and at the final whistle the score was 12-68. Whichever score you choose, as described by our coaches, yesterday’s performance was outstanding. It takes our win loss ratio to a neat 5:1.
We scored 10 tries, 2 each for Alex, Digby and Hamish. Harry, David, Toby and Jack got one a piece – very well-done boys. Alex kicked a fabulous 8 out of 9 conversions so with his tries contributed 26 points in total – nice. Jack converted one right at the end via a drop kick. The only assist was credited to Hamish, when on a hat trick and having beaten the defence, passed to David on the try line – lovely. There were no yellow cards – good job boys!
Hamish was awarded MOTM by the coaches who really liked his linking play, support and decision making. Ethan and Findlay are thanked for standing in for injured MK players during the second half – never easy.
Next Sunday we are at home playing Old Albanians. There is no record of us having played them before so it will be another journey into the unknown. They field 2 teams at U15 and reports are they are usually pretty good. OA’s U15 24/25 results here Under 15s fixtures & results show a 50% ish win ratio with some very impressive fixtures so it should be a close match. Really looking forward to it! See you Sunday! #COYAs
