Aylesbury U14s vs Harpenden U14s – Match Report

Aylesbury U14s produced an impressive all-round performance to secure a convincing 46–5 victory over Harpenden U14s in cold and windy conditions that made handling and decision-making a real test.

From the opening whistle, Aylesbury set the tone with strong carries, quick ruck ball and good communication across the pitch. Despite the tricky conditions, early pressure was rewarded with the first try, and Aylesbury continued to build momentum through disciplined defence and well-organised attacking phases.

The forwards laid an excellent platform, winning the physical battle at the breakdown and providing clean ball for the backs, who moved the ball confidently and exploited space out wide when opportunities arose. Tackling was committed throughout, limiting Harpenden’s chances and forcing errors.

Harpenden showed great determination and were rewarded with a well-earned try, but Aylesbury responded positively, maintaining focus and intensity to add further scores. The second half saw more of the same, with Aylesbury demonstrating good support play, awareness and teamwork to extend their lead.

Player of the Match was awarded to Fionn, who delivered an outstanding performance and crossed the line four times.
