Aylesbury Rugby Club welcomes Lee Irvine

Aylesbury Rugby Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Lee Irvine as their new Head of Senior Rugby.  Lee has previously been part of the coaching teams at Oxford Harlequins RFC and London Welsh RFC, both at National League Level, as well as a former player at London Cornish RFC, Barnes RFC, & London Welsh RFC.  Lee also coaches the Norway Rugby Men’s 1st XV and the Norway Women’s Rugby 7’s Team in the ‘off-season’.

That we have been able to secure someone of Lee’s experience and knowledge, not only as a coach but from a playing perspective as well, is a fantastic result.  To go with our already excellent facilities, including our state-of-the-art gym and all-weather pitch, we will continue to work towards supporting the delivery of rugby coaching throughout the whole club.

Ben Tominey, Director of Rugby at Aylesbury says, “We are delighted to welcome Lee to Aylesbury Rugby Club.  Lee has an outstanding background in rugby coaching, management, development and playing at the highest levels of the game. His new responsibilities will extend beyond the men’s senior squad to have impact across the whole club, working towards our vision of being the Home of Rugby in Aylesbury Vale”.

“I am incredibly excited to be appointed as Head of Senior Rugby at Aylesbury Rugby Club.  This is a club with a proud history, a passionate community, and a clear ambition for growth and success - both on and off the pitch.  I’m excited to build on the solid foundations already in place and work with the players, staff, and supporters across the club to develop a positive, high-performance culture where hard work, enjoyment, and continual improvement are at the heart of everything we do.  I can’t wait to get started and be part of the next chapter in the club’s journey’’. Aylesbury is a proud grassroots community club, with a full minis & junior section, including women and girls’ teams.  New members are always welcome and there are opportunities to enjoy rugby as a player, a volunteer or supporter at any level.
